Get ready to elevate your BBQ game with these mouthwatering smoked pork ribs. Infused with the bold flavors of Wayne’s Fiery Fusion Sweet or Heat Dust, these ribs are tender, juicy, and packed with that perfect smoky punch.
Ingredients for the Rub:
• Equal parts minced onion, garlic powder, paprika, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, dried parsley and some Slap ya momma seasoning.
Directions:
1. Prep the Ribs: Generously coat both sides of your ribs with the dry rub mixture, ensuring an even, flavorful coating. For an extra kick, add your choice of Wayne’s Sweet Fusion Dust for a sweet, mild heat or Heat Fusion Dust for that fiery punch. Once seasoned, let the ribs rest in the fridge for at least 6 hours to absorb all the delicious flavors.
2. Fire Up the Smoker: Set your smoker to 250°F and choose your favorite wood (we recommend hickory or apple for a rich, smoky flavor). Smoke the ribs for 4 hours, flipping them halfway through to ensure they cook evenly.
3. Sweet & Buttery Finish: After the initial smoking, take the ribs out and slather them with honey and butter on both sides. Wrap them tightly in foil (or your preferred wrap) and place them back in the smoker for an additional 1-2 hours until they reach that fall-off-the-bone tenderness.
4. Optional Crispy Finish: If you love a slight crisp on your ribs, open the foil and keep the ribs in the smoker at 250-300°F for another 30 minutes. This step allows the honey and butter to caramelize, adding even more depth to the flavor.
5. Carve & Serve: Remove the ribs from the smoker, baste them with their own juices for a final touch of moisture, and carve them up. The result? Smoky, sweet, and savory ribs with just the right amount of heat! Absolutely no BBQ Sauce needed.
